Following target user analysis and a thorough assessment of competitor products, we developed a new breadmaker concept for Italian manufacturer De’Longhi.

We generated a wide range of concept ideas which explored new approches to materials, door design, interior heating, and construction. These ideas were refined in close liason with the client and manufacturer, using full scale clay and painted foam models.

Emphasis was placed on creating a unique aesthetic which would reflect contempory healthy living, and enable the product to stand out in a crowded market against established competitors.
