We were commissioned to design a range of kitchenware products for our client to position themselves within the highly competetive low cost / high volume market.
We responded to the brief by undertaking initial research with an emphasis on evaluating competitors’ products and comprehensive product testing to establish recommendations for competitive design fetures for the new products.
A diverse range of sketch concepts was developed for the different items that reflected the client's intial brief and tight budget, and the manufacturing constraints.
A coherent style for several different groups of products was developed, and innovative features generated to give competitive advantage. Once approved by the client, full scale CAD models were generated for manufacture in the Far East. We then liaised direct with the manufacturers and provided quality control assessments.
