A team of product development specialists

Jedco is one of the longest running product design agencies in the UK, established in 1984. We are based in Weybridge, Surrey, within easy reach of central London, Heathrow airport and the M25.

We believe that the success of a product is judged by the satisfaction that it brings to the user, and crucially, the success it brings to our clients.

To this end we are focused on working collaboratively with our clients to ensure their business objectives and aspirations are met and exceeded.

We do this by combining creative talent with a hard-headed understanding of marketing, empathy with the end user, and deep knowledge of engineering and manufacturing. This delivers solutions that are fresh and innovative but also functional and cost effective.

Why choose us?

Creative and technical

Successful products have instant appeal, yet they perform perfectly every time.

Our team blends creative thinkers who can imagine the future, and engineers who can deliver the functionality now.

Deal with designers

Jedco is a team of designers, run and managed by designers.
When you work with us you will be talking directly to experienced professionals who know the subject inside out.

On budget, on time

Projects running over budget or over time can badly affect a business.
At Jedco we understand how important it is for our clients to stick within agreed budgets and timescales.

Products that perform

All of the products designed by Jedco share key qualities that enable them to perform for our clients:

How we work

Jedco can provide a complete product design package, from initial concept to specifications for production.

Most projects begin with a free no obligation meeting at our offices or yours. We then produce a thorough Project Proposal which outlines the activities we will carry out. Each proposal is tailored to the individual client and is often split into stages, each with timescales and costs.

Throughout each project our Creative Directors provides individual contact with the client. We guarantee a quick, accurate and thoughtful response, and can provide references from many well-known companies to authenticate our capabilities as competent creative professionals.

We are insured to cover any losses that might arise from our negligence or incorrect advice up to £5m per claim. In all our decades of trading no claims have ever been necessary.

Although every project is different, we apply a consistent methodology which has been refined over many decades:

Sustainable product design

Many of the products we have designed are made from post-consumer recycled plastics, use low energy technologies, or include renewable power sources such as solar. Several have been ‘world’s firsts’ in their sector.

Our expertise in sustainable design led us to being appointed by government bodies to advise businesses on the use of low environmental impact materials.

We work closely with our clients to actively explore and advise on the best available ecological materials and processes for each project.

Affiliates

We are registered with the Design Council and the Manufacturing Advisory Service, these accreditations acknowledge our capabilities and consistently high standards of project management.

As members of the Chartered Society of Designers our professionalism is endorsed and commercial confidentiality safeguarded.

A successful product launch often requires many specialist partners working in close collaboration. Over many decades we have built up a large network of trusted technical specialists and manufacturers, whose expertise can be called upon to aid our clients when required.
